Arthur Gutch brings to Chapman Associates more than 22 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, lower to middle-market financings, industry operating experience and a natural passion for working with business owners to create exceptional results.
For 9 years prior to joining Chapman, Arthur brought his energy, creativity and operating experience to Terranova Capital Partners where he completed transactions for family-owned businesses and privately-financed companies in the Transportation Logistics, Media & Publishing, and Information Technology sectors.
In his most recent transportation transaction, Arthur founded Unified Logistics Corporation, partnered with two owners of high-margin specialized carriers and completed a $30 million equity and debt-based purchase of the combined company. Most recently, he worked with a retiring business owner and Boston-based investors to complete the purchase and sale of a pioneering company in the rapidly growing digital self-publishing market segment.
Prior to joining Terranova, Arthur enjoyed 10 years in Silicon Valley where he actively founded, financed and consulted to private and public technology and service-based businesses. He worked with entrepreneurs, executives and small business owners to develop differentiated strategies that could achieve measureable and sustainable results. His areas of engagement included: Internet & New Media, Wireless Communications, Enterprise Software, Translation Services, Marketing Automation, Healthcare Technology and Cross-border Market Development.
As a Managing Director in Chapman’s Boston Office, Arthur has client relationships throughout the US, Canada and China.
Arthur enjoys hiking in the eastern woodlands, is a tennis player, an avid reader, and lives in historic New England with his family.
